Crown Meadow heard about Hoffman’s Horse Minerals premium horse feed through our friends from Canada who had used them for their horses and miniature donkeys for years. They suggested we try the minerals because we were having trouble getting several of our young jennets bred; we had tried for four yearsAfter putting them on the Hoffman’s, four of the five jennets bred. We were sold! We then became dealers for the Minerals and haven’t looked back.

Feeding Directions

Free Choice: Place Hoffman’s Horse Mineral in an open mineral feeder, protected from the elements. Initially, remove all sources of salt. Place enough mineral for 2-3 days consumption in the feeder(s). Monitor intake. If mineral intake exceeds seven ounces per head per day, add a salt block. Expected free choice consumption will be approximately 5-7 ounces per head per day. This will vary depending on the condition of the horses, plane of nutrition, age, weight, weather conditions and sex of the horse.

Top Dressing: Hoffman’s Horse Mineral may also be top-dressed on the horse’s daily grain allowance. Top dress 5-7 ounces for mature horses. For best results, top dress in two equal daily feedings. At all times allow horses access to clean water and adequate good quality, dust-free forage.

Caution: Directions for use must be carefully followed. Do not use in association with another grain ration, supplement or premix containing supplemental selenium.

Warning: This horse feed contains copper. Do not feed to sheep or other copper sensitive species.
